Australian Football – Tier 2 Data Capture

This article is an overview of our Tier 2 Data Capture processes and expected data availability timings.

Access to Tier 2 data is via Talent Data and individual Competition order forms.

There is currently no Enhanced Data Capture for Tier 2 female competitions.

Data Availability Timings​

Main Statistics​

  • Captured Live
  • End of Transmission: approximately 20 minutes after match completion

QA processes​

  • Our QA processes continue in the week following the end of a completed round
  • Data may be changed or added when necessary during that time

Enhanced Capture​

  • In most cases, match captures are completed the week following the end of round
  • There may be some exceptions based on vision availability issues, heavy match periods or other factors

In a given week, there can be up to 35 standard matches across the Tier 2 competitions. U18 Championships and Selected Trial / Academy Matches are captured in addition when required.

The order of matches to receive enhanced data capture is based on the following:

  • The preferences of our existing Tier 2 API subscribers
  • The competition level (seniors before reserves where possible)
  • The availability of vision

Our capture team will complete all matches, including our QA processes, as soon as practically possible.

The API road map includes development of an endpoint in the Talent Data API to enable customers to check the status of a captured match.
