v1.50 Update - 25th February 2025

One on One Metric Definition change

This update has changed how the following One on One win/loss metrics are generated. They now exclude spoils gaining to a knock on, ground kick or a (non-crumb) ground ball. This change is retroactive and has been applied to all AFL Premiership and AFLW matches in the AFL API.

  • ONE_ON_ONE_TARGET_WIN
  • ONE_ON_ONE_TARGET_LOSS
  • ONE_ON_ONE_DEFENDER_WIN
  • ONE_ON_ONE_DEFENDER_LOSS

Support for Tier 2 Competitions

This update applies the following changes to support 'Tier 2' Competitions in the AFL API in future (i.e. VFL, WAFL, Coates Talent League). They have no impact on AFL Premiership or AFLW matches.

  • AFL API now supports venues that do not have 'commercial names'.
    • For example, Marvel Stadium is Dockland Stadium's current commercial name.
  • AFL API now supports live matches that includes players that were enrolled into the match within 24 hours of the match start time.
